Showcasing Tools Already in Use

Yango demonstrated several technologies already used in some of its markets. These included traffic prediction systems, route planning tools, digital maps and delivery robots. The company also introduced attendees to Yasmina, its virtual assistant. Many discussions focused on practical challenges. These included urban mobility, business growth and collaboration between technology companies and local economies.

Supporting the Next Generation of Talent

The event also marked a milestone for the Yango Fellowship Programme in Côte d’Ivoire. Twenty participants completed the programme. They received certificates, laptops and financial support to continue their studies or professional development. Yango said it plans to connect graduates with internships and entry level jobs. The company will do this through partnerships with businesses operating in the country. Another announcement was a partnership with GUDE-PME, an organisation that supports small and medium sized enterprises. The agreement is expected to strengthen ties between Yango and local businesses.

Expanding Beyond Mobility

The company also revealed plans for a premium Yango Food offering. The service will expand Yango’s presence beyond mobility and transport. It also forms part of the company’s efforts to broaden its digital services in Côte d’Ivoire. The announcements reflect growing interest in African markets from international technology companies. Demand for digital services continues to rise across the continent. Competition is also becoming more intense.
