Woda has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first local business to supply telecom towers to Safaricom Ethiopia, according to CEO Steven Cui. He highlighted the company’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of reliability and quality in its services.
The telecom company announced a major network expansion initiative aimed at enhancing coverage and capacity. This expansion will provide individuals and businesses with access to advanced mobile and digital finance services, significantly improving connectivity. The announcement follows the company’s decision to invest in new towers, set for April 2024. Safaricom Ethiopia’s commitment to improving and expanding its services has reinforced its reputation as a leader in the industry.
In a related development, Woda has drawn significant attention from investors. “We are honoured to lead OneOrder’s Series A round and increase our investment as the company transforms the HORECA supply chain in the MENA region,” stated Brendon Blacker, Managing Partner at Delivery Hero Ventures. “This funding presents a thrilling opportunity to broaden the substantial value that OneOrder delivers to its customers across a larger geographic area and replicate the impressive success they have already achieved in Egypt.”
The investment will support OneOrder’s expansion into the GCC later this year, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. This move is expected to significantly enhance the company’s footprint and service delivery across the region.
