The Lagos-based company operates an AI-native posture management platform focused on helping organisations manage what it calls “digital trust.” It brings together compliance, risk, audit, and data security into a single system, giving companies a clearer, real-time view of their security and regulatory standing across both cloud and on-premise environments.

Designed with African markets in mind, the platform addresses the challenges of operating across fragmented regulatory systems and hybrid infrastructure. Instead of relying on periodic audits, it continuously monitors systems, allowing organisations to demonstrate compliance and security readiness at any time.

Technology, Funding and New Features

Cybervergent recently raised $3 million in seed funding to support the rollout of its automated compliance and digital trust platform across the continent. At the core of the system is an AI engine that verifies audit and monitoring results before they are presented, aiming to reduce errors and improve reliability.

The newly released version introduces continuous audit-readiness across four key areas: risk management, compliance, audit processes, and data security.

Expansion and Market Approach

The company’s expansion into South Africa marks a move into one of the continent’s more demanding regulatory environments, signaling confidence in the platform’s ability to meet higher compliance standards while competing with global solutions.

To support its growth, Cybervergent is using a channel-based approach, working with local partners and system integrators in cities such as Lagos and Accra to deploy its technology more widely.

“We built verification into the architecture,” said co-founder and chief scientist Ayomide Daniels. “If a finding isn’t traceable back to source documentation, it doesn’t reach the dashboard.”
