MTN Announces New Yellow Plans

MTN has unveiled its new Yellow Plans, designed to provide affordable and straightforward connectivity solutions for consumers, based on a statement share with Business Tech Africa. These plans offer anytime data and minutes for calls to all networks, ensuring customers can make the most of their benefits without any restrictions.

In 2023, MTN began its journey towards radical simplification with the introduction of its Mobile Internet and Home Internet portfolios. These portfolios were crafted to keep customers seamlessly connected whether they are at home or on the go. By introducing five new transparent plans per portfolio and eliminating the complexities of multiple data bundles, night data, or site-specific restrictions, MTN has placed a clear focus on transparency.

The overwhelmingly positive response to the simplified Home Internet and Mobile Internet portfolios highlighted the demand for straightforward solutions. Building on this success, the new Yellow Plans cater specifically to mobile phone users with the same simplified approach.

We have eliminated complex add-ons and the distinctions between voice-centric and data-centric offers, as well as all-net and on-net minutes or specific time-bound data.”

The new Yellow Plans, priced between R99 and R399 per month, are available to both new and existing customers. These plans allow customers to share data with up to five MTN numbers. Further enhancing simplicity, contract customers can opt for month-to-month SIM-Only offers with the flexibility to cancel at any time. Additionally, the Yellow Plans are available with the latest smartphones on 24- or 36-month contracts, and customers can anticipate exciting launch promotions on selected devices.

MTN’s introduction of the Yellow Plans marks a significant step towards providing customers with affordable, simple, and flexible connectivity options, ensuring a seamless and transparent user experience.
