Applications for the VOVE Compliance Infrastructure Program will open on 20 July and close on 20 August. The initiative targets startups operating in regulated industries where compliance requirements can influence investment decisions, banking relationships and market access.

Preparing Startups for Due Diligence

According to VOVE ID, many startups only identify weaknesses in areas such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), anti-money laundering (AML) controls and governance when they undergo due diligence by investors, banks or regulators. Addressing those issues at a late stage can delay fundraising, licensing and commercial partnerships.

The programme is designed to help founders assess their compliance readiness before those challenges emerge. Between six and eight startups will be selected to participate in a structured review process.

“Founders do not need another compliance lecture. They need a practical way to understand what matters now, what evidence they should maintain, and what to fix before growth creates pressure,” said VOVE ID founder Khalid Aoussar.

Assessment and Action Plan

Selected startups will complete a personalised 24-question Startup Compliance Readiness Assessment before taking part in a private review session with VOVE ID. Each participant will also receive a prioritised 30-, 60- and 90-day action plan covering areas such as onboarding, KYC and KYB processes, AML controls, governance, audit readiness and risk management.

The programme will also include a public webinar on 27 August focusing on compliance policies, regulatory expectations and fraud prevention. Industry specialists in compliance, banking and risk management are expected to contribute to the session. Private reviews for the selected startups will run between 31 August and 25 September.

VOVE ID said the programme provides compliance readiness guidance rather than legal advice or regulatory certification. The company develops identity verification, business verification, beneficial ownership, AML screening and audit-ready compliance tools for businesses operating across Africa, the Middle East and other international markets.
