RiseUp, A15 and BitRoot Launch NVIDIA AI Accelerator

Egypt’s startup ecosystem is set to receive another boost after RiseUp, A15 and BitRoot partnered with NVIDIA to launch NVIDIA SIGNALS, a new accelerator programme for early-stage artificial intelligence (AI) startups.

The programme is designed to help Egyptian founders develop and scale AI products by providing access to NVIDIA’s AI technology, mentorship and investment opportunities. Organisers say the initiative will support startups as they move from building prototypes to launching commercially viable products, while also helping them explore expansion beyond the Egyptian market.

Further details, including the number of startups to be selected, application dates, sector priorities and available computing resources, have not yet been announced.

Strengthening Egypt’s AI Startup Ecosystem

The partnership brings together three established organisations within Egypt’s technology ecosystem.

RiseUp is best known for organising the annual RiseUp Summit in Cairo, one of the region’s largest entrepreneurship events. Venture capital and technology investment firm A15 has been actively investing in Egypt’s digital infrastructure, including its partnership with Hassan Allam Holding on a US$400 million data centre project licensed by the country’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. BitRoot’s specific role in the accelerator has not yet been outlined.

The new programme builds on Egypt’s growing investment in artificial intelligence and startup development.

Egypt Expands Its AI Ambitions

Egypt continues to strengthen its position as one of Africa’s leading AI markets.

The country ranked first in Africa in the 2025 Government AI Readiness Index, while the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has continued expanding AI-powered services across government and business. Local startups have also attracted international attention, including agricultural robotics company Egrobots, an NVIDIA Inception member, and voice AI startup PlayAI, which was acquired by Meta in 2025.

Egypt’s second National AI Strategy aims to generate US$42.7 billion in AI-driven economic value by 2030, supported by continued investment in research, digital infrastructure and startup innovation.

NVIDIA Deepens Its African Presence

The launch of NVIDIA is the latest step in NVIDIA’s growing investment across Africa.

In 2025, the company partnered with Cassava Technologies on a US$700 million initiative to deploy high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs) to data centres in South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and Nigeria. Rather than establishing startup programmes directly, NVIDIA has increasingly chosen to work through local ecosystem partners to support AI entrepreneurs across the continent.

For Egyptian startups, the SIGNALS accelerator offers access to global AI technology and expertise at a time when demand for advanced computing infrastructure continues to grow. As more founders build AI-driven businesses, initiatives such as this could help strengthen Egypt’s position as one of Africa’s leading AI innovation hubs.
