Egyptian AI Startup BrainsMingle Raises US$400,000 in Seed Funding

Egyptian artificial intelligence startup BrainsMingle has secured US$400,000 in seed funding as it expands its video-first professional networking platform. The company plans to use the investment to grow a platform that combines live knowledge sharing, professional networking and community building.

The funding comes from BasharSoft Group, one of Egypt’s largest human capital technology companies. It represents BasharSoft’s first strategic investment since adding iCareer to its portfolio last year.

Through its brands WUZZUF, Forasna, iCareer and Recruitera, BasharSoft reaches more than 9 million users. The latest investment also extends the company’s presence beyond recruitment services into digital platforms focused on professional collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Platform Focuses on Professional Communities

BrainsMingle was established by Belal Amin and Yousef Gamal to give professionals a space to host live sessions, connect with audiences, manage bookings and earn income from their expertise. The platform also allows users to engage with specialists, join professional communities and access industry knowledge through interactive content. According to the company, users from more than 90 countries have already joined the platform.

“We built BrainsMingle around one belief: the most valuable professional moments happen between people, not between people and content. The world does not need another feed to scroll or another profile to maintain. It needs a home, a single place where an ambitious professional can show up, share what they know, and build a community around it,” said co-founder Belal Amin.

Amin said the founders designed BrainsMingle to serve professionals regardless of location, creating a platform where expertise can be shared, communities can grow and meaningful professional relationships can develop.

He added that BasharSoft’s backing reinforces the company’s long-term vision of building a global platform centred on knowledge sharing and professional engagement.

BasharSoft Broadens Its Technology Portfolio

Ameer Sherif, Executive Chairman of BasharSoft Group, said the company saw an opportunity to improve the way professionals exchange knowledge and experience online.
