Adbot partners with MTN Nigeria to boost SMEs

South African startup Adbot has partnered with MTN Nigeria with the aim of revolutionizing advertising in the region through its AI-powered ad management to small businesses. This is Adbot’s first expansion outside South Africa.
The partnership supports MTN’s mission to accelerate SME growth through digital channels. MTN Nigeria chief enterprise business officer Lynda Saint-Nwafor said teaming up with Adbot will empower Nigerian SMEs to better utilise search engines and digital platforms.
Adbot offers automated campaign management tools to help SMEs easily create and optimise online ad campaigns.
The new partnership will enable MTN’s SME customers to get ads up and running much faster through MTN’s Thryve Google Ads service.
The Thryve bundle provides data, website conversions and ad views to jumpstart digital marketing while Adbot’s platform leverages AI to refine campaigns based on performance, ensuring effective and economical ad spending.
Why start in Nigeria?
Nigeria’s technology and entrepreneurship scene make for a great starting point for Adbot to expand its horizons.
Founder and CEO of Adbot, Michelle Geere said Nigeria presents an opportunity to showcase automated ad capabilities beyond basic social media marketing, which is more common currently.
Geere emphasized that Adbot’s primary focus will revolve around educational efforts, aimed at showcasing how its AI-driven tools empower the creation of scalable and pinpoint-accurate advertising campaigns across various platforms, including Google and Bing.
“This partnership marks a momentous milestone as we venture into Nigeria, a thriving hub of innovation and entrepreneurship,” Geere stated. “By teaming up with the nation’s largest telecom, we can bring our cutting-edge advertising tool within reach of over 40 million MSMEs in the region.”
The MTN partnership represents a major first step toward establishing its presence in Africa’s top economies.
