The popular messaging app, WhatsApp has brought back it’s “View Once” feature for images and videos on its web and desktop platforms.

According to reports from WABetaInfo, the feature gives users the option to send temporary images and videos that disappear after being viewed by the recipient.

Initially, the feature was removed by WhatsApp due to privacy concerns back in 2022, as users were taking screenshots on desktop.

Reports have confirmed that the View Once feature has been slowly returning to the desktop platform, and the rollout seems to be speeding up.

The feature is not yet available on all web yet though, only Windows, and MacOS users.
