Safaricom, the leading telecom company in Kenya, has introduced a groundbreaking initiative, “Grow with Safaricom Business,” aimed at supporting Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in scaling their operations and navigating the digital landscape.

In an official statement, Safaricom highlighted that the platform is designed to provide MSMEs in Kenya with a unique opportunity to collaborate and exchange information, fostering significant advancements in the digital economy.

The engagement platform will feature a series of workshops and seminars throughout the year, serving as forums for MSMEs to share innovative ideas on leveraging digital technology for market expansion, operational efficiency, and the establishment of a robust online brand presence.

Key areas of focus within the platform include cloud solutions, cyber security solutions, internet for business, internet of things, and the use of M-Pesa for Business. Industry experts will be on hand to guide businesses through regulatory obligations, ensuring compliance and fostering long-term growth.

Cynthia Kropac, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Safaricom, emphasized the pivotal role MSMEs play in driving economic growth in Kenya. “Safaricom recognizes the critical role that MSMEs play in fostering economic growth and prosperity in Kenya,” she stated.

Kropac further elaborated, “Through the Grow with Safaricom Business series, we aim to empower MSMEs with the knowledge and skills that can help them sustainably accelerate their growth and overcome challenges such as operational digitization, limited market access, regulatory barriers, brand building, and a lack of digital marketing skills.”

The telecom giant envisions the “Grow with Safaricom Business” series as an opportunity for MSMEs to tap into Safaricom’s extensive network, experience, and commitment to innovation, enabling them to thrive in the dynamic landscape of the digital era.

This initiative aligns with Safaricom’s dedication to supporting the growth and development of local businesses, offering a holistic approach to addressing the diverse challenges faced by MSMEs in Kenya. As the “Grow with Safaricom Business” series unfolds, it is expected to become a vital resource for MSMEs seeking to harness the power of technology for sustainable growth and success.
