PalmPay, the Africa-focused fintech platform, has recently unveiled two groundbreaking products in Nigeria, Unlimited Free Transfer, and Target Savings, aiming to enhance financial accessibility and inclusivity for its users.

The announcement, made today by PalmPay, highlights the elimination of transfer fees to all banks and fintech platforms on its app through the Unlimited Free Transfer product. This feature empowers users to conduct unlimited fund transfers to family and friends, pay bills, and efficiently manage their finances within the PalmPay app.

In addition to the Unlimited Free Transfer, PalmPay introduces the Target Savings product, allowing users to set personalized savings goals, along with their preferred savings duration and frequency. The fintech platform’s automated system will diligently save on behalf of the user based on the preset frequency and amount.

Explaining the functionality of the Target Savings feature, PalmPay stated, “Once the user has attained their goals, reached their savings target date, and has achieved their set savings amount, they earn an interest rate of 12% per annum for their savings discipline on the amount they’ve been able to save.”

PalmPay, which already operates in Ghana with an enhanced payment service provider’s license, offering merchant acquiring solutions, is expanding its footprint in Nigeria. In Tanzania, the platform functions as a payment system provider, with plans to further grow its multi-country and cross-border presence.

Chika Nwosu, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, emphasized that these new offerings align with the company’s mission to provide inclusive financial services. Nwosu stated, “We believe that everyone should have access to affordable financial services, and this update is a significant step towards that goal.”

As PalmPay continues to innovate in the fintech space, the introduction of these products not only removes barriers to financial transactions but also encourages a disciplined savings culture among users. The fintech platform’s commitment to inclusive finance is evident, marking a significant stride toward making affordable financial services accessible to a broader spectrum of users in Nigeria and beyond.
