The CX-6e was co-developed through Mazda’s joint venture with Chinese automaker Changan, bringing into focus the growing role of China-based partnerships in bringing new EV models to market.

Charging capability is another highlight. Mazda says the CX-6e can accept up to 195 kW at a DC fast-charging station and recharge from 10–80% in 24 minutes under ideal conditions. The battery delivers a claimed 482 km driving range on the WLTP cycle.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the CX-6e features a clean, modern cabin layout centred around a large 26-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it also integrates a dedicated CX-6e smartphone app for connected features. A head-up display keeps key driving information in the driver’s line of sight.

Safety and Practicality

In terms of Safety Mazda has  equipped the CX-6e with nine airbags and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist. The SUV also offers a 468-litre boot, which expands to 1,434 litres when you fold down the rear seatbacks.
