Kore Potash Plc (Kore Potash) is set to embark on a new chapter as it lists its shares on A2X Markets (A2X), opening avenues for trading starting from May 14, 2024, under the share code “KP2”.

Kore Potash, an advanced stage mineral exploration and development company, is headquartered in England and Wales and presently listed on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange (LSE), the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), and the JSE Limited (JSE). This secondary listing on A2X supplements its existing listings and does not affect its standing on other exchanges.

At the heart of Kore Potash’s operations lies the Sintoukola potash basin in the Republic of Congo, where it endeavors to bring globally significant potash deposits into production. Leveraging the favorable location, large size, high-grade, and shallow depth of its Congo deposits, Kore Potash aims to position itself as one of the world’s lowest-cost potash producers.

Potash, crucial for plant growth, constitutes the group of minerals providing potassium (K) and finds extensive application in agriculture as fertilizer. Muriate of Potash, commonly known as Potassium Chloride (KCl), represents the predominant type of potash essential for enhancing soil fertility, sustaining plant health, and augmenting agricultural productivity.

André Baya, CEO of Kore Potash, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and efficiencies to realize its vision of becoming a leading low-cost potash producer. By opting for a listing on A2X, a platform renowned for its efficiency and cost-effectiveness, Kore Potash extends its philosophy to shareholders, facilitating seamless transactions across African markets at optimal prices.

Kore Potash’s inclusion on A2X aligns it with other prominent players in the mining sector, such as AngloGold Ashanti, African Rainbow Minerals, and Exxaro, among others. A2X CEO, Kevin Brady, expressed anticipation for Kore Potash’s debut, highlighting the benefits that a secondary listing can offer shareholders. Not only does it provide an alternative trading venue with enhanced liquidity, but the low fee structure also translates into substantial cost savings.

A2X, a licensed stock exchange regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, Prudential Authority, and South African Reserve Bank, serves as a vital platform for companies seeking to diversify their listing options and offer shareholders enhanced trading opportunities in the dynamic African market landscape.
