Buying enterprise software is not usually a quick process. Even when a company knows exactly what it needs, quotations, approvals and paperwork can slow things down. For IT teams, that often means waiting days before finance signs off on a purchase. LSD Open thinks there is a simpler way to handle that process. The company has launched a new Red Hat Subscription Centre, an online platform where businesses can request quotations for Red Hat products and receive a response within 60 minutes. The platform includes products such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift and the Ansible Automation Platform. Customers choose the products they need, submit their requirements and receive a formal quotation they can send directly to procurement and finance teams. LSD Open says it activates subscriptions within 24 hours of receiving payment.

Taking Some of the Waiting Out of Procurement

Many organisations still rely on emails, calls and multiple approval steps before they can complete a software purchase. The Subscription Centre cuts out some of that back and forth by giving customers a direct way to request pricing and place orders online. LSD Open offers the service to both small businesses and large enterprises, whether they want to renew existing subscriptions or purchase new ones. As a Red Hat Premier Business Partner, the company can provide subscriptions and related services across the Red Hat portfolio.

More Than a Sales Portal

LSD Open built the Subscription Centre to make software purchasing easier, but the platform represents only part of its business. The company also supports organisations that run Red Hat technologies. Its services include managed OpenShift environments, Ansible support and Red Hat Enterprise Linux management. The new platform helps customers buy and renew subscriptions more quickly while giving them access to the wider range of services LSD Open offers around Red Hat technologies.
