Bokra is poised to transform how retail and SME investors manage their finances, offering innovative solutions to save and invest across diverse asset classes. The platform addresses key challenges faced by merchants and SMEs, including the lack of personalized investment planning, fragmented investment applications, opaque fee structures, and the high costs associated with physical assets.
The Bokra app is designed to provide balanced and individualized financial and investment planning, making it the first of its kind to leverage asset-backed securities. This allows users to gain partial ownership of a wide array of items, helping them to efficiently manage and grow their wealth.
Ayman El-Sawy, founder and CEO of Bokra, highlighted the platform’s mission following the successful closure of their pre-Seed funding round: “From the outset, our goal has been to make high-yield and asset-backed investment opportunities accessible to retail investors. Our FRA-licensed subsidiary sukuk arm will handle the financial structuring of these instruments, creating a significant and transformative impact on individuals and SMEs. This disruption is driven by our advanced fintech solutions and a management team with a combined 120 years of expertise in financial technology and the non-banking financial sector.”
El-Sawy emphasized Bokra’s commitment to enhancing financial inclusion and raising investment awareness across the MENA region. In an environment where financial needs and aspirations are continually evolving, Bokra aims to be the go-to investment platform for individuals and SMEs looking to diversify their fractional ownership portfolios in a simple, trackable, and informed manner.
Scheduled for launch in Q2 2024, Bokra’s user journey is designed to be straightforward and personalized. Users will set their monthly contribution amount, investment tenure, and risk appetite through a comprehensive questionnaire. Based on these inputs, they will be matched with a portfolio that includes a variety of instruments aligned with their financial goals.
The Bokra app features a user-friendly dashboard that enables users to consistently monitor their financial progress. Additionally, it offers scenario analysis tools to help users assess potential returns on their investments.
The recent funding will support the launch of the Bokra app, expand the range of financial products available, and facilitate the growth of operations across the Middle East and North Africa. This expansion will further Bokra’s mission to enhance investment literacy and foster a culture of wise investing to meet a broad spectrum of financial objectives and aspirations.
