The Audi RS3 facelift has recently been revealed and is set to arrive in South Africa in early 2025.

The engine produces 294kW and 500 N.m torque with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is available from 5,600 to 7,000 r/min and 2,250 to 5,600 r/min. The 0-100 km/h is pegged at 3.8 seconds which is one tenth quicker than its rival, the Mercedes-AMG A45 S.  

The exterior of the car has a cosmetic enhancement where it come with a shape of revised front grille, flanked by headlamp cluster which adds a new daytime-running lights as well as the front air intakes have been redesigned. The RS3 adds a red reflector and on the opposite sides, oval tailpipes and has19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the RS3 has an interior of a double-flattened multifunctional square shaped steering wheel, which has a trim of leather. RS Sport seats are in a fine Nappa leather, replete with Dinamica microfiber accents are presented. The digital instrument cluster, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit setup is 12.3-inches with a 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system, which can connect both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto screen mirroring. It now features an app store with a raft of applications.

The Audi Sport has also upgraded the chassis control system and has added brake torque vectoring which dials the understeer during high-speed cornering and allows drivers to apply more power when accelerating out of bends. Customers have a choice of potions of specialized Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres for track driving nonetheless the car comes in a C-rated Pirellis.

Audi set a Nürburgring record of 7:33:123, which is five seconds faster than the BMW M2, which is one the chief rivals.

Audi SA has confirmed that RS3 will be touching base locally in the first quarter of 2025, for now European dealers are going to receive their vehicles from October 2024 before. The RS3 will come in sedan and hatchback body styles.
